Workers’ Compensation Associate Attorney – Atlanta

You will work with an experienced partner/mentor to represent corporate and insurer clients on workers’ compensation claims. This may include evaluating and advising clients on pertinent issues and the optimum path to resolve claims as well as representation in litigation by appearing at hearings, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, and other proceedings. The associate attorney will communicate with client representatives and claims representatives, create and submit reports required by the client, prepare motions and briefs required to support the position of the client, and negotiate settlements on behalf of the client.

Coverage and/or Liability Associate Attorney – Florida
The position includes remote work after 3-5 days of in-office orientation, and training scattered over the first 30 days.
You will work with an experienced partner/mentor to represent corporate and insurer clients. This includes evaluating and advising clients on pertinent issues and the optimum path to resolve or try cases including independently handling hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations, trials and other proceedings. Since COVID, most of these non-trial events are attended remotely.
The candidate must have a JD degree from an ABA accredited law school and be admitted to the Florida Bar Association. Significant experience, including federal court cases, is preferred but not necessary. The candidate will have demonstrated critical thinking, judgment, and decision-making skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with a diverse range of clients, attorneys, and staff.
The Liability Attorney’s cases will include commercial motor vehicle, commercial property liability, nursing home liability, and church and day-care exposures. No PIP or personal lines auto cases are involved but previous experience in those fields is also a plus.
The Coverage Attorney’s cases will include first-party commercial property coverage claims (including storm claims) and third-party commercial policy claims (including construction defect, intellectual property claims, advertising injury cases, and CGL coverage matters). Although both positions include appellate matters, the Coverage Attorney’s cases involve more appeals.
